Picture
Our Mission
Prosperity Works builds the capacity of organizations and advocates for policies that generate economic prosperity for all New Mexicans.

Our Vision

We envision a New Mexico where every person has access to the opportunities, knowledge, and relationships they need to achieve economic prosperity.

Our Core Values
Our work is guided by our core values, each of which is cast through a lens that centers racial equity: community-centric solutions building, intentional capacity building, and authentic partnership development.

What We Do
Prosperity Works provides limited-income New Mexico households with social and financial assets to ensure sustainable, equitable solutions for building strong, thriving communities.

How We Do It
We listen to limited-income individuals and partner with community organizations throughout the state to provide high-impact, out-of-poverty strategies including:
  1. Provide matched savings accounts for children so they can have a stable launch into adulthood;
  2. Offer matched savings accounts for adults for assets like a home, home repair, starting a business, buying a vehicle or going to college;
  3. Work with employers to deliver Fair Lending Options for low-interest, emergency loans; and
  4. Offer Energy Saving Solutions to low-income households.

Why We Do It
Assets stabilize families, increase agency, bridge generations, and strengthen communities. Prosperity for all New Mexicans cannot flourish without fundamental changes to systems, attitudes, and behaviors.
