What is Community Solar?
Community Solar allows anyone to have access to cheaper and cleaner electricity, including renters, those with shaded houses, or those who don’t want the upfront cost of installing solar panels on their homes. Community Solar is a great alternative that requires no money down to get started. And, anyone who signs up will have monthly savings on their utility bills!
Did you know that some families pay up to 30% of their monthly income on utilities? Because they are a necessary expense, families will often skip food, medical care, or medicine in order to pay for electricity. Community Solar can help families lower their energy burden so they can use their money for other necessities. Residents who get their electricity through PNM, El Paso Electric or Xcel Energy will be able to take advantage of this clean energy alternative to power their homes in the next year. |
